Borchers joined Midland Retail in 2007. His focus is on restaurant placement and representation. He has successfully steered local restaurant chains Fusian and Flipdaddy’s through their real estate roll-out and expansion throughout Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Columbus. Current tenant representation clients include Jersey Mike’s, Elements Therapeutic Massage, Fusian, Flipdaddy’s, and the Golf Exchange.

In addition, he represents retail properties for sale and lease, working with some of the area’s most notable developers. Borchers was the listing broker for the new Jungle Jim’s International Market redevelopment of the former Bigg’s Place Mall in Eastgate; a 425,000 SF grocery and retail project that includes 20 new retail tenants.

Prior to joining Midland Retail, he worked as a general manager and partner for 15 years in the restaurant business. After 5 years with Outback Steakhouse in Columbus and Cincinnati, he went on to work with local restaurant groups, including the development of Embers with John Zipperstein and Greg Pancero (also owners of Trio).

Presently, he is working with local developer Brandicorp on the exciting new Vintage Club retail and restaurant.
